Nineteen
years after the war, Hogwarts has been restored to its former state.
All is well in the wizarding world. Or it was. Until Azkaban was
demolished by the Ministry. They felt that prison was inhumane. The
time of suffering and death by dementor's had passed. The former
prisoners of Askaban were sent into the Muggle world, magic free. No
wands and a chip inserted into the body to prevent wandless magic,
unspoken magic or apparition. The idea was a good one until the
banished witches and wizards decided to fight back any way that they
could.
They began spreading stories to Muggles. Giving out
information about the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Linking past
disasters with Muggles back to Voldemort. Making it seem as if all
witches and wizards were evil and making it look like magical people
wanted to take over the Muggle world and enslave Muggles everywhere.
The Muggle's began to believe. By the time the Minister of Magic got
wind of the events, it was too late to prevent the turn of events. The
Muggles had retaliated. They were forming armies and anti-magic groups.

No longer is it
safe to live among Muggles. A Muggle born witch or wizard is to be
kept a secret. When they leave for Hogwarts, there are large elaborate
lies formed to explain the child being away. As the Muggle's are
forming armies to wipe out the magical communities, the magical people
are now doing the same and one woman, a woman who's future even as a
child had proclaimed greatness, stands at the top watching it all come
together.
Anyone and everyone is in danger now. It is not safe
for anyone on either side to walk the streets alone anymore. There are
fights and deaths on both sides. Normal wizarding places like Diagon
Alley and 9 3/4 are heavily guarded. Wizards and witches are moving to
all magical towns and the towns as well as Hogwarts are under added
protection spells.

The
terror is spreading to the other schools as well. Durmstrang,
Beauxbatons, and Salem School of Magic. Hogwarts is the safest place of
them all due to it's seclusion and the Ministry of Magic being in
London. With all of this, it is the start of a new school year. It is
the first year of the children of the Golden Trio and dozens of other
children. Many students are arriving from other countries as well.
There are mixed emotions from parents and students alike. Excitement
and fear being the top two.
All is done in the name of safety. Who's side will you be on? How far will you go to survive? Who will be victorious?
