the rules

welcome to mandragora's cry! please read through these rules before/upon joining. if you have any questions, whether it is to clarify or if it concerns a rule that is not listed, don't hesitate to ask!

one: general

first there are the usual rules of conduct that come with these sites. be respectful to staff and fellow rpers, no spamming, no plagiarism, use proper english, don't do anything to other people's characters that they don't want you to, keep things publicly viewable pg-13, don't say you are under 13 and don't join if you aren't going to rp.

two: accounts

one character per account. please change your display name to your character's name. you can have as many accounts/characters as you want, but you should keep them all active and try to make different types of characters. 

three: posts

we encourage quick, frequent replies and therefore do not impose a word count. your posts should be clear and use proper grammar, but nobody wants to read a novel and be pressured to do the same. 

four: characters

we are an au site and i am very lenient about accepting characters. you do not have to claim or try out for special abilities & half-breeds. however, no obvious crossovers, stealing things from other fandoms, or made-up species/abilities. your characters must fit into the potterverse. secondly, they must also fit into the time period. keep in mind that while the wizarding world is a bit separate from muggle culture, this is 1956; their interests cannot include things not yet invented. walking around in the top fashion trends of 2013 will earn them lots of stares, not make them look good.
